The title of this blog entry is the default one from this WordPress template. I thought about changing it to something more “engaging”, or “vibrant”, maybe slightly “clickbaity”, but at the end decided to leave it. You see, I’ve had in mind the idea of PR Meal Company for a while now, years actually. The concept of providing fresh and different meal prep options in my dear island Puerto Rico. After 11+ years living, working, (and working out) in different cities in the USA, ordering from various great meal prep services, each one with its distinct flavor, I knew that one thing I was going to miss when moving back to the west coast of Borinquen was the accessibility to such easy, delicious and nutritious meals. It is just so convenient! No need for doing a grocery list, go grocery shopping, spending time cooking and then measuring everything so you can hit your macros… I couldn’t be the only one hyped for such simplicity, and surely I wasn’t. Immediately after establishing myself in Rincón and starting working out with my new family of CrossFit Rincón, I saw that there’s a lot of us that want that. We go and bust our asses in the gym, try our best to improve our rest and recovery times, but we are left off with very little time to take care of nutrition. “So, if there’s nobody providing such service, why can’t I just do it?” That was exactly what I said to myself, and that’s how the years’ long idea of PR Meal Company just came to be. Sometimes by solving your own problems, you solve the problems of many others, and that’s what we are here for. That’s why I decided not to change the title of this blog entry. That’s why “The Journey Begins” sounds like a good fit, because what we started among us down at the gym as part of a nutrition challenge is about to become something bigger. The upcoming journey that we’re preparing is aimed to reach beyond Rincón, and in the long term it’s our only hope that we at PR Meal Company are able to help every single person pursuing their better selves via fitness and nutrition. It will take time and effort, but we are up to the challenge.
Thanks for joining me!
